Mayson Curtis Cornell

For those of you who did not know that Curtis and Heidi lost their sweet baby boy, here is the obituary that was in the Blackfoot newspaper.

Mayson Curtis Cornell, infant son of Heidi and Curtis Cornell was born, Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Pocatello. For the short time he lived on this earth, he was surrounded by his family. He passed away peacefully in the arms of his mother on June 23, 2008.


He is survived by his parents and three brothers, Cayden (7), Bryce (5), Gavyn (3) all of Blackfoot; grandparents, Steven and May Smith of Blackfoot, Charles and Cynthia Cornell of Blackfoot, Bruce and Susie Wanner of Pocatello; great-grandparents, Charles Sr. and Ethel Cornell of Jacksonville, Fla., James and Evelyn Wilson of Blackfoot, Elaine Rumsey of Preston, Idaho, and Arlene Wanner of Preston; great-great-grandparents, Ophelo “Ervin” and Evelyn Crane of Chubbuck and Marva Campbell of Pocatello; aunts and uncles, Jennifer (James) Hatch of Smithfield, Utah, Ashley (Jamie) Smith of Blackfoot, Jason (Kim) Smith of Pocatello, Tyler (Desiree) Smith of Blackfoot, Christine (Jeff) Robbins of Blackfoot, Kari (Dustin) Giesbrecht of Pocatello and Katie (Brandon) Williams of Pocatello and many cousins who loved him.


He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, George and Maxine Smith, William Rumsey and Bertus Wanner.


A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home before proceeding to the cemetery.


An account has been set up for Curtis and Heidi Cornell at Westmark to help with hospital and funeral expenses for those who may wish to contribute in lieu of flowers.

Smith Family Barbeque

When the family gets together... there is a whole lot of laughs, visiting, fun and even a prank phone call or two. :)
We had a Smith Family barbeque July 6th at Grandpa Smith's house. We had a great turn out and had a lot of fun. We had dutchoven chicken and potatoes cooked by Steven, and then everyone else contributed salads, desserts, or just whatever they wanted to bring.
